I'm a Doula becoming a midwife, and I document all of it — the studying, the getting dressed, the work itself.
I'm Monisha. I'm a birth and postpartum doula in Vancouver. I nanny, I'm upgrading courses toward midwifery school, and I'm applying again for the 2027 intake.
I make things about all of it — the birth work, the studying, the clothes, the ordinary days. I post publicly because when I went looking for someone who talked honestly about the part before you get accepted, before you have it figured out, I couldn't find much. So I decided to be that person instead.
I work with families through pregnancy, birth, and the first forty days — prenatal visits, continuous support through labour, postpartum care, and womb and belly bodywork.
Most of what I do isn't dramatic. It's steady presence, practical help, and knowing what's normal so you don't have to guess at 3am.
My availability is limited while I'm studying. Reach out, and I'll tell you honestly whether I can take you on. If I can't, I'll point you toward someone who can.
