postpartum support

Newborns take time adjusting to life outside of the womb; parents take time adjusting to caring for newborns! The hormonal shift after having a baby is the biggest shift (in the shortest amount of time) that you will ever experience in your entire lifespan.

My role is to provide practical, nonjudgmental support that helps make those early weeks feel more manageable- whether that means caring for your baby while you rest, supporting feeding and newborn routines, preparing a meal, or simply helping you navigate what is normal and what additional support may be helpful.

* 4-12-hour shifts available

$40/HR (daytime)

$45/HR (overnight)

My availability is limited while I’m in school, so I recommend reaching out as soon as you know you may be interested in support. I’m happy to discuss your needs, availability, and whether I’m the right fit for your family.

What Families Are Saying

“Monisha is a very warm-hearted woman and an exceptional doula. Her calming energy is contagious. From the first time she cared for our baby overnight, I felt at ease, and I learned quite a bit about tending to my newborn’s needs and cues, let alone how to console him. We are so grateful to have her support and I trust you will find the same!”

Sidwell Family

I highly recommend Monisha to parents and could not shout her name from the rooftops! Having to invite someone new into your home during the transitional fourth trimester (and amidst the pandemic) can be a nerve-wracking process for parents, but Monisha completely put our minds at ease as soon as she stepped through the doors. Monisha has a very gentle and compassionate spirit, so I never have to worry knowing my child is in loving hands. What our family also especially appreciates is her flexibility and respect of various parenting methods, as Monisha always ensures parents are comfortable and on the same page with caregiving practices. She has been so helpful in creating a more calm environment and alleviating stress for our family. She’s an absolute gem for postpartum families!

Wang Family

“We were so appreciative for Monisha as we brought our little one into the world, from labour and delivery, and navigating the postpartum world, she was a constant source of knowledge with a kind and calming presence. Always accessible by text, call if we had any questions, and always on time and ready to jump in and help however she was needed. The wisdom and her presence that she provided us with was invaluable. We’d definitely recommend Monisha and would certainly have her as an integral part of our birth-postpartum team again!

Sohi Family

“Birth is not only about making babies. Birth is about making mothers — strong, competent, capable mothers who trust themselves and know their inner strength.”
